O for Optimism!!

She watched her daughter blush,
As she said 'I do' at the altar!
She smiled and congratulated the couple,
Blessing them with an impassioned heart!

She remembered the days,
When she had cried all night.
But every morning had brought a new hope,
As she saw the face of her child.

Walking from door to door,
In search of job to bring up her little one
When giving up seemed better,
The kid’s smile animated hope in her mind!

Sometimes the harshness of people,
And sometimes the pervert souls!
Her life was no less than a challenge,
Being single mother had felt like curse!

The optimist in her had fought all odds,
Day and night, to make her dream come right.
She wiped her sorrows as she thought,
It’s all over and now is a new start!

Until the next post,
Keep Smiling :)

Love,
Swathi :)

  11. The poem conveys so beautifully the emotions, the struggle and finally a sense of relief of a mother, who has brought up her daughter single handed.
