Honey Buzz

Winter is the time when being lazy is allowed. No one likes to get up early and go for walking or even do exercise. And sure enough, this results in gaining a few more pounds. But now that summer has approached and it is time for ice creams and vacations, every one is getting conscious about their weights and appearances. Every third person you speak to mentions going on a diet and losing those extra pounds.

But in today's busy life, everyone looks for fast results. All they have in mind is they want to look like their favorite celebrities. And this leads to more and more people turning towards crash diets. They go on skipping meals for reducing calorie intake. Some even take it to an extreme level by going on liquid diets and consume no food at all! These methods may result in a faster weight loss but they are bound to fire back sooner or later. These people tend to put on weight faster when they quit or break their diet plan. It also tampers with their health, which is the most important factor.

So, is there no way out? Of course there is. The way which is gaining popularity slowly and steadily - Balanced diet. We sure had learnt this school but none of us had actually paid attention to what it is. This diet includes consuming right type and right amount of food taking into consideration one's Body Mass Index (BMI). It includes eating healthy food like fruits, vegetables and staying away from the junk food. It also includes physical exercises. This method may result in slower results and people might steer clear from it as it includes exercises but it sure is meant to improve your health in the longer run.

Honey is one of the important ingredient for those who wish to lose weight. I still remember when my mom used to make me to drink a glass of warm lime water with a spoon of honey. She used to say that it works wonders but I just went along with it because I loved the taste of honey. But recently I stumbled upon this website of Honey Diet from Dabur which claims that it is a sweeter alternative for dieting. Honey has many benefits - it is a natural energy booster and immunity system builder. No wonder honey is a vital ingredient for those who are planning on going on diet. The site includes a lot of information about the Honey diet, right from the recipes, fitness tips to personalized expert advises. It also helps you to plan your diet routine depending on your BMI. The site is perfect spot for those who are looking for a healthy way of losing weight.

So before you plan on going for diet, do check this site.

Untold Story of a Fighter!

I was nervous. It was the first time I would be addressing such a huge gathering. "It will be fine, don't worry" said my mom, who appeared even more tensed than I was. I knew she was re-assuring herself more than me! "Yes mom, it will be fine" I said faking a confidence that I didn't feel within. "I will rock it" I smile and she tries too. "Ma'am everything is ready. They are all waiting for you" says the event organizer and I nod as I take in a deep breath. "This is it" I say myself. This was the day I was waiting for all my life and now finally my dream was coming true. It was the day my first novel would be launched and as a part of this event, I was supposed to read an excerpt of it to the audience. There will be so many people, reporters, cameras! The thought scared me. But the voice in me whispered that if I had come this far, then I can definitely handle this. And that's how, 15 minutes later, I ended up reading the prologue of the novel, which was based on my life story.

She knew it was the end. She had tried her best but all her efforts were going vain! How long can anyone hold on? Her career, her respect, her love life, everything was at stake. She remembered good old days. Life was so good. Friends, family, love and success, everything seemed to be within reach; just name it and she had it. Caring parents, loving brother, best of the friends and a boy who would do anything for her. Then why was she standing at this place now, alone and away from everything and everyone she loved?

She knew the answer even before the question ended. It all happened because of a stupid mistake. Because of her stupid desire to take on the world on her own. She had over looked everyone and everything! She had chosen her own path and decided to walk alone. And in the quest, she had lost things that were dear to her. But hadn't she done everything she could to make it right? How much more she had to try? How many times should I try! she thought frustrated.

'Just once more' came the voice from inside. It was this very voice that had ushered her to walk on this path, that had made her believe in her dreams and chase them. Now it was asking her to go on once again? Would it be worth listening to it? she thought. 'Yes' came the answer. 'I have lost everything already, what more can I lose? I would try just once more, every single time, until I finally succeed' she thought. She stood up and wiped her tears. She smiled tentatively which slowly became genuine and walked out with an air of confidence. This time, she had to do it and show the world what she as capable of!

I looked up from the book to my audience who were now enthralled by the introduction. I smiled at them. "That was the snippet of a story from my life. A journey of a girl who faced choices that changed her life forever. She could have given up and broken down like many of us do but she chose to fight. And you see the result today. Read more about it in my book" I say and hear the thunderous applause which makes me feel that all the effort I had put in, was worth it! I thank my lucky stars, though I believed more in hard work than in luck! After all hard work was what made me stand here today.

Home, is it?

“It does feel like home, doesn't it?” he asked and I smiled. Surely it did.

After roaming whole day in the sun, this was the closest I could call home.

I tried to enjoy my stay as much as I could, for I knew my stay here would be short.

I knew the guy would come back anytime and I had to start running again.

But what choice did I have? It was better than suffering from disgrace!

I will tell you, once we leave the garage and get on track, the life of a race car is never easy!

The Dark One!

He wanders in the dark,
Alone in the secluded park.
Gliding quietly like the mist,
Looking out for his tryst.

Eyes shining in the moon light,
As they scan through the night.
A pale smile crosses his face,
Adding more charm to his grace.

In the hunt he was immersed,
Waiting for quenching his thirst.
Watching out intently for the prey,
The predator's eyes never looking away!

He grabs the passerby in a sec,
Piercing right through her neck!
He sinks his fangs in her vein,
And enjoys as she withers in pain.

As he licks away the blood that drips,
A smile adorns his beautiful lips.
Hiding his fangs behind that smile,
The dark one glides away in style.

Monster Bookmark!

Of late everything except studies seem interesting! Such is the charm of study holidays. When exams are stretched for more than a month, you reach saturation level before the last exam and try to find ways to ward off boredom. While I was busy on one such quest, I found a super cute book mark made by Rajlakshmi, who blogs at Destiny's Child. Being an art lover, I just couldn't wait to try it out. So I took papers and scissors and started off with the bookmark. After 10 minutes, this was the result.

That is the cute monster and here it goes sinking its teeth into my book!

Fun isn't it? This is the exact replica of the book mark Rajlakshmi made. Now that I have done this, more creatures are going to emerge soon. Stay tuned for them. And if you want to know how to make one for yourself, here is the tutorial posted by Rajlakshmi. I owe you for this one dear. I am totally loving it!

Dazzled

He looked at me with twinkling eyes that displayed his longing.

The look in his eyes told he was completely dazzled and would definitely come back for me.

I was happy; finally I had found someone who loved me.

The wait seemed to end when he came back again after a week, smiling triumphantly like he has been waiting for this moment too.

"Show me the latest model Bhaiyya" he said and I watched enviously as the shopkeeper picked up the S5, while the boy eyed it with the same love he had for me, the S4, few days back!
